dock effect w(h)ich touches me

folks,

right now i discovered some very spectacular effect regarding docks minimizing and de-minimizing feature. Well, as usual, just in case you don't know that feature, i tell you:

-->

open 1 document >> double click its title bar while you hold "shift key". what do you see?

than >> click on the documents icon in the dock, while you hold "shift key". what do you see?

BUT NOW, pay attention, please

-->

open at least 2-3 documents in one app. >> double click one title bar, while you hold "shift key" AND "option key". What do you see?

than >> click on one documents icon in the dock, while you hold "shift key"AND "option key". what do you see?

What do you see?

    Funky. When it's fast you can't even tell.

    while this is a cool effect, there have been a few threads about it before.

    That's pretty cool. I knew about the shift trick, but the option makes it a lot cooler.

    Option = apply this window action to all windows of this app

    Shift = slow-mo

    This has been around since Quartz Extreme has, at least.

    This has been there much earlier than 10.2. I'd say 10.0 at the latest.

    Shift as slow-motion has been available since Mac OS X Public Beta.

    Option as an all-windows modifier has been available since Mac OS 8! (maybe earlier?)

    The option effect has been around since at least OS 9... I think 8, too.

    Of course, there was no minimizing back then, other than windowshade, so I don't think shift had an effect.

    Edit: Why didn't you listen...

    Because Steve Jobs hates you and told us to keep you in the dark.
