Or you could get used to the idea that Apple Stores being down means *nothing*, especially if not all of them are down. Apple *might* introduce something new, and they might not.
Rather not - appearently this "we'll be back" screen isn't about new 'Books but simply about plain old server problems or something...
A few minutes ago the german store didn't respond at all, and right now (1:44PM CEST) going to it results in a line saying "Did not receive any response from application. It is possible that the application does not exist, or that the requested url is incorrect."
P.S.: It's 1:46 now and the "we'll be back" sign is back...
Given the fact that some PBs are only 100MHz away from the Low-end G5, and the low-end Mac(emac) has a better optical drive than the high-end mac(g5) I believe that updates are are around the corner!

I always thought Tuesday US time was the time for updates. Are you sure they are not updating for Motion et al.?

That was released yesterday. I sincerely hope were not all getting steamed up about poxy video updates
(given that it takes about 4 months for new models to make it to my neck of the woods).

Nah I think it's just the slightly speed bumped books.
