Dirt & Scratches

I've noticed recently that the place below the keyboard where I put my palms while typing has become slighty tarnished and I can't seem to remove it.

I also keep it in a case at all times but the top lid has become scratched, it looks like I mistreat it when it's seen in direct sunlight.

How do you keep the iBook looking great all the time?

Isn't there a polish you can use to get some scratches out? I forget, but I believe there is. I was worried about this when I got my powerbook, and even more with my iPod (the wind scratches it) but I've been not so concerned. I don't plan on selling this, and you have to expect those types of things to happen. Even if I was selling, I'd expect the purchaser to understand that as well.
