now - my 12" Powerbook arrived this morning and i made a clean computer setup (placed the components right to look good - not like the windows-guys do *lol*)
Not really trying to derail this too much, but where do you live in Melbourne? Interestingly, I spend some time as an exchange student there a few years ago. The people I lived with had a place in Glen Iris. It's a great city. Also, quite strangely, I'm moving to a different Melbourne in 2 months. . . The people there call it Mel-born (with american soft r). You aussies trained that pronunciation out of me pretty quick. Haha.
For the record, how do aussies pronounce their Melbourne? I went there about 5 years ago, and I could swear it's "Mel-bun," but my friend (not Aussie) was trying to correct my correction a couple days ago. Awesome place BTW
msantti, awesome setups! I have a question for you - how does your Logitech keyboard and mouse set compare to the MS set on your PC setup?
BTW, you have some excellent color and style coordination on your setups. Silver on everything for the G5... black and wood on the PC. You really make that PC setup look actually good!

I belive Placebo's age. However I still have hard time believing he's that little kid in the picture
I am, in the grand scheme of things, pretty short, but in that photo I'm even shorter than I am now...not to mention that the G5 box dwarfs me.
I'll post some pics of me next to 'familiar landmarks' so you can get a clear idea.

In that photo (PAST), I am SHORTER than I am now (PRESENT).
Heh, I must get confused when I see a setup that doesn't just have everything set up at a normal-height desk with a comfy chair in front of it.

Defiant, how can you use your computer when it's sitting so near the floor like that? Do you sit on the floor yourself?

I had an accident last weekend, and because of that I had to keep my leg straight.
So I just moved the computer down to the floor. Wouldn't miss AI just because of an accident, would I?

AMD Athlon 64 setup:

I actually prefer the keyboard on the Microsoft setup and the mouse on the Logitech setup.
Both are good though.
The CRT screen on my Athlon is pretty bulky but that rig is used mostly for gaming so a CRT is just fine for that.
Plus, a CRT is a good deal less too.
