Thanks to Seinfeld, any mention of Ukraine will get diverted to that scene from the show. Fortunately, it was a funny scene and a good show.
But seriously, Risk is somewhat accurate. Ukraine is essentially a crossroads, and it's very hard to defend. Plus, there's not a terrain advantage forthe locals. It's mostly flat steppe.
