iMovie Camcorder Support for New Models

I'm looking at the new Sony Camcorders (DCR-HC85 specifically) and was wondering about iMovie support. Although it's not on the list of supported camcorders, I'm assuming that Sony is consistent in their interface software and that I won't have a problem. Or will I have to wait for an Apple update? I need to be able to use the camcorders A/D capability right away, but could way for full support of camcorder controls.

    i'm pretty sure that as long as you have a dv out on the camera, you're fine.

    I bought the camcorder yesterday (DCR-HC85 Sony) and it worked fine. I got a little nervous after looking at the "approved" list of camcorders from Apple: http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/camcorders.html



    Notice, for example, there are no Hitachis listed.
