Done deal - new PBook

Posted:
in Future Apple Hardware edited January 2014
Well, after waiting for months, reading endless banterings about new hardware "soon", I finally ordered and now have my new 800TiBook (1Gb RAM) and 23" Cinema display on my desk.

I am one very contented customer.

Even if Apple release a new model tomorrow, I won't care.

Jaguar runs fast. Adobe apps function well. I can get on with my work and be productive.

Either here in the office or sitting on the grass in the cool shade of the tree in my yard, Airport connected and surfing, with this fast enough, sleek laptop.

Yes, I suppose it would be nice to iSync with an inbuilt bluetooth, but I don't have a Sony T68i nor do I really need one. I have had access to DVD-RAM drives and Superdrives for a long time, and I have never once burnt a DVD.

I would have had all this much sooner if I had only not paid attention to the unfounded speculations posted on forums like these. However, everything has a purpose and I'll continue to read and submit an occasional post.

When all is said and done, life is just fine, thankyou Apple.

Congratualtions. However this post belongs in the current hardware forum as you bought it, that means it actually exists

You may be right. However, it was the endless "future hardware" speculation that I was commenting on.

I ordered an iCurve before MacWorld NY, was told the orders would come out late summer. Well, Oct 21 is pretty late summer and now its the 23rd! Any ideas

Congratulations on your new PowerBook, though. I am sure you will be happy. I am about to take my Pismo OSX.2, so wish me luck.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself. I don't think you'll be glowing with self content if the next pbook revision is 1 ghz built in bluetooth ect ect ect....

endless speculation... no because eventually new pBooks will come.

Well, for a place with "too many moderators", we sure end up with alot of volunteers, don't we?

Congrats on the new setup, I wish I had your bank balance. Just make sure you NEVER visit any site like this for at least 6 months.

Look at that... a post from a mod without a lock or move! Consider me IBM!
