Rumsfeld Knew: Iraq Prison Abuse Part of Pentagon-approved Black Ops Program
As everyone probably already knows by now, an article in the New Yorker claims responsibility for this abuse scandal goes directly to Don himself and other officials like Alberto R. Gonzales, as a Newsweek article this week discusses. Looks like we're still giving the Don 2 weeks? I like John McCain's quote the best "We need to take this up as far as it goes, and we need to do it quickly."

After 911 the debate was all about how torture was necessary for 'terrorists' and how 'the world had changed' or some such drivel - no-one on the right found it offensive then and the only reason they aren't spouting now is because they are faced with hard evidence rather than just their own vacuous witterings. There's a part where you don't do that?
& dangerous
by refusing to acknowlegde the geneva conventions &
indefinitly detaining people, we created the following
scenario.
1.other countries will refuse to commit troops
to help us in any future conflict
2.since we cannot abide by international law theres
no good reason for any other country to do so as well
...we just threw out 50 years of diplomacy & respect.
in the long long run we need this planet more than this
planet needs us. it would be incredibly aggrogant to believe
we will always be the strongest.
