At least he did not call him a "major league asshole."
Then we would have heard about it for a week or so.
Oh boy, we get to do this again, exactly like the "Kerry affair" fake story.
There is no "at least". There is no story. It didn't happen. It's made up.
If you want to compare a made up thing with a real thing and pretend it shows a double standard in the treatment of Bush and Kerry, then you must also admit that you are either deliberately or genetically compromised.
Unless you think I should be able to muse aloud about how bush got a free pass for that time he raped and killed a cubscout.
Where was the outrage? Wheeee! I live in "whatever I want to be true is true ville!"
Ted Sampley? This Ted Sampley? This guy is an unmitigated nutcase.
It is funny how anybody who questions John Kerry's military record is instantly and viciously attacked by the liberal left but when we are talking about a Green Beret with multiple combat awards for service during Vietnam he is instantly labeled by these same people as a nutcase. How soon we forget...
Some people are very emotional about the POW/MIA issue. If you had friends and colleagues who are still unaccounted for perhaps you might understand the man's angst. Kerry was clearly wound up after he returned from Vietnam and he accused his fellow veterans of committing war crimes and even made up stories to back his claims. Does that make Kerry a nutcase?
The only entities covering this "story" are right wing punditry outfits, such as Newsmax, Limbaugh, The Free Republic, etc. The only ones.
Lots of stories about Memorial Day observances at the Vietnam memorial and Kerry's remarks, but none of the real press is mentioning this.
So, to believe it's true, you have to believe that the NY Times, the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, CNN, USA Today, even Fox News for god's sake, just elected to pass on an obvious story of import, even though all of these entities routinely report on things like Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry's accusations and all of them had stories on the fact that a woman at the Memorial gave Kerry some lip about betraying the Vietnam soldiers (he ignored her).
Remember how the "Kerry had an affair" story had you all salivating? The end of his candidacy, if I recall correctly.
This is what comes of a steady diet of right wing bullshit world, where crap is king and lies are gospel. Any fool can make some shit up and get it a wide hearing on the alternative information for stupid people echo chamber, and those same stupid people will breathlessly give it credence because it appears on more than one right-wing vehicle, which, because of their astonishing ignorance and credulity, fueled by a dim-witted reactionary world view, they mistake for actual news sources.
It is entirely pathetic.
Why would the "mainstream" media bother? They hardly care to chronicle Kerry's ever changing positions on just about every issue even though the guy is running for the most important office in the world. To me, this is the biggest outrage today because the American people deserve an examination of this guy's record and what he stands for - which is a big problem because I have been following this race for a long time and I still can't figure out what his real position is on anything. It all seems to depend on when you ask him because he has managed to be on both sides of so many issues way too often. Kerry needs to be challenged on why he supports things one month then opposes them the next or vice versa. Is he that fickle? Is he that uncommitted to a position? Is that what we want in a President of the United States? The leader of the free world does not have the luxury of changing his mind as often as most people change their underwear. Kerry is an embarrassment to the Democratic Party and you people who support him look pretty foolish supporting a guy who can't make up his mind about just about anything.
And that justifies vicious, hurtful lies to a missing man's family "to publicize the plight of POW's?"
I see where your values lay.
Or did you even read the piece on Sampley?
I don't see a whole lot of difference between a guy like Sampley and John Kerry. Obviously they both have made up stories to try to sway people to their point of view and in the process they have hurt other people's feelings. I admit I had not yet read the piece as I was simply trying to make a point that it apparently is okay to question one man's service to his country and not another's.
And don't judge my values. If you are troubled by this guy and not by what Kerry did than I have to question where your values lay...
And just to clear up: I meant Americans: Don´t be so tight assed. What a politician does with his middle finger to a VERY annoying demonstrator (short of anything physical) should not affect anyone. At Washington Journal I once heard a caller say that noone should vote for Liebermann because he had remarried. Forget what policies people stand for, lets look at their marriages and how they react to annoying people What I say is I have never heard reaction like that here. Hence don´t be so tight assed.
Keep trying. These lame attempts at character assasination are entertaining.
You're a maroon, you did exactly as I predicted. You obviously did not read my post. I heard this first on a local RADIO TALK SHOW. I then found it reported on the web. Can't you read?

You're about as deep as the water 5 feet from shore on Vanderbilt Beach, buddy....
So... if I post a link to something that is horseshit, but qualify it by saying first that "you will dismiss this as untrue because of the source", then if anyone says that what I posted is horseshit, I will have proved that I am right and anyone disagreeing is a "maroon" (never mind of course the fact that what I posted originally was complete horseshit).
Well, at least you are consistantly flawed in your logic. And real creative with your personal attacks there, Bugs.... They really show us the depth of your comprehension and discussion ability.
Can't YOU read? There's some interesting commentary in this thread regarding the right wing's propensity to MAKE STUFF UP, and to repeat it over and over and over again till the more weak-minded members of the public actually believe that the lies are true.
Please, favor us with more of your la-la-la-I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOU-fingers-in-ears. And, please don't forget to tell us how the fact that ONLY NewsMax has "reported" this "story" just serves to prove The Vast Liberal Media Conspiracy.

Is this Jimmac? The post was directed at him.
Oh yeah, check around it is not only Newsmax that is reporting this now.

LINK PLEASE? Google News still has nothing new. Or are you still busy writing your "here is another mention of it, but of course you will dismiss the source" disclaimer to go with it?

Ok, maybe not that big of an improvement.
Fine, Newsmax is more professional looking but Clinton Body Count is sooo much more entertaining.
Re: the topic. If it was Bush, Nader, Kucinich who flipped someone...my reply would be the same: big deal.
Then we would have heard about it for a week or so.

Oh yeah, calling someone a "maroon", in the footsteps of none other than Bugs Bunny, is pushing the limits.
You goot to have some pretty thin skin if you can't handle that one.
