Small Dog Electronics is an Authorized Apple Reseller and Service Provider. Due to contract limitations imposed by Apple, sales of New Apple Products on the internet is limited to current customers of Small Dog Electronics.     Yea. That's the deal they have with apple. Comes up in threads here every 6 months. Buy one thing from them and then you can buy a computer from them. I'm not sure anyone knows why it is that way.

    Why?

    I bought a dual 533 G4 from PowerMax (another Apple Auth. Reseller) a few years ago the same way - called them, set up an account, made my purchase, now I just log in and buy.



    It's no big deal.

    but it says if im not a current customer I have to go to vermont. If I call them I can set up an account and I will be a current customer? If so they need to word that better, heh, it came as an initial shock..

    No I think they mean you can be a first timer for them at the store. If you are not at the store then you will have to buy something else from them first.



    So if you're getting a new system and want some extras too, iSight, iPod, software... Then you could buy the extras first to establish the relationship and then order the apple hardware.

    Maybe because you can do BTO at SmallDog but nowhere else excpet the Apple Store.
