Wrong, I just was doing some googling on "reagan" and ran across this right at the top of the google page.
... and you stopped reading after the first line.
Quote:
"President Clinton really held out all hope the funeral (of former president Reagan) would be a non-partisan event, like (former president Richard) Nixon's was," said the Drudge Report.
"Quoting a "top Clinton source", it said: "He's angry and disappointed neither he nor (former) President (Jimmy) Carter -- both Democrats while President George W Bush is a Republican -- have been asked to speak, as of yet.""
"Quoting a "top Clinton source", it said: "He's angry and disappointed neither he nor (former) President (Jimmy) Carter -- both Democrats while President George W Bush is a Republican -- have been asked to speak, as of yet.""
...as reported by the Drudge Report-- which, as you really should know by now, has no journalistic credibility. Continuing to refer to the Drudge Report for news should be considered as spamming the forums. Talk to me when Drudge prints a correction.
By waahmbulance, you must mean this thread of yours, right? Another great example of your non-partisanship....
I would be saying the same thing about, say... Gingrich (spelling?) or Cheney or ANYONE politicizing this occasion.
Is it my fault that apparently Clinton and possibly Carter have no issue with doing just that? Is he going to crash a state funeral if HE is not a speaker? What is the point of putting this info out there?
I didn't make anyone say these things. I am just reporting what I read.

Well take it up with Nancy then... Clinton's not the one doing the politicizing of the occasion.
that's the whole point, it's being politicized by the choice to only invite Republicans, and to spurn both other living X-Presidents because they're Democrats. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT NIXON'S FUNERAL.

Maybe a law should be passed, that despite the wishes of the former first-lady, a hand full of token speakers be installed to make the ceremonies more PC?
I did not write the report. I did not make a statement to a reporter.
Yeah, it's me and Drudge.
So you're saying that you're not using the death of a former president as an occasion to make a cheap political jab at former president Clinton by calling him a whiner?

I would suggest that he did it to himself. What adult whines because he wasn't invited "to the party"? He is a former president. He can get face time anytime he wants.

so that's a "yes," I take it. You and Drudge are using the death of President Reagan to get in a cheap shot at Clinton.

Naples, you still haven't figured out how to make your website work?
Why do you want to look at it some more?
I can send you a copy if you like?

No. It's not. But the choice to have only Republican presidents speak at the thing is a bit tasteless, and I would expect more from nancy reagan.
At any rate, if anyone is politicizing this, it is YOU and Drudge.
