Are OS 9 Discs Still Sold Anywhere?

I have a old 6500 machine that only has the original 7.6 restore CD with it. I've lost my old OS 9 installer CD that I bought years ago for it.

Does anyone still sell the retail version of OS 9?

maybe OS 8.6 would be a better choice for this machine?

Any system is fine, as long as I can run a recent web browser and Eudora.

Anything special about 8.6? It's been so long since I used a pre-OS X system.

I have the issue of buying a G4 500MHz PB and a Wallstreet/Pismo(not sure what it is) for the kids and not having the ability to run some of their programs because I only have my family pack of Pather CD's and no classic.

Basically, OS 8.6 uses less horsepower, requires less ram, and will run a little faster on your older system. It still supports USB, will run Eudora and Internet Explorer or Mozilla or whatever you choose. Plus, you should be able to find it for less than OS 9. You would probably buy the OS 8.5 discs and then do the free upgrade to 8.6.

    MegaMacs has it.

I've bought stuff from them a few times. Fast shipping and reliable.
