I just got an e-mail from Apple inviting me to the WWDC and I was wondering if you guys thought the tiger fur background has anything to do with the retail box or logo?

    ?oooh. I likes it better than Jag. I'm betting on a variation on a theme: tigerstripe background, semi-transparent "X" logo overlay.

    My Vote is *yes*

    I think that is a hint, after all they are 'braggin' about the face they are previewing it there, right?



    Makes me wish I had a few grand to toss at them just to be there!

    Oh yeah, I'm sure the X will don a new coat for Tiger, and it'll look very similar to that.

    I personally like the current slab-serif typeface coupled with the black box and brushed metal. It looks awesome- much better than the all white and aqua look.



    I would like to see them keep the new Tiger X look similar to this quick mockup:
