November the 18th
The GeForce FX will be announced November the 18th
Overclockers Australia says, "Monday sounds like it will be a big day actually, with a couple of NDA's lifting."
There doesn't seem to be much new products on the horizon except the GeForce FX and a new Apple Digital Device. AMD has announced the next Athlon (2700+), and Intel has announced the next Pentium 4 (3.06GHz with HyperThreading).
The iPod has gone Windows, I imagine than any new digital device will be for Mac and Windows.
Could it be that one of the NDAs to be lifted is the fabled FireWire Underwater Camera?

Are you just guessing? Where are the recent rumors about this? All I know is that on 11/18 dell is releasing their first PPC machines (pocket pc, not power pc). What a great way for Jobs to upstage dell. That would be GREAT!!

Maybe they aren't made by Dell......
The fact that even on 0,13 micron process this card have an external power supply, let experts think that it will be clocked at high frequencies.
I doubt Apple will ever release an underwater digital camera...why?

I'll tell you why. I was at the local swimming hole this past summer and it was packed with kids, families, etc. I would not even think of brining my digital camera to this place. Unless it water-proof. Then I would in a heartbeat.

I think if Apple ever released an underwater camera, it would start as a regular digital camera, and then evolve into an underwater camera. Think of the iPod...it started as an MP3 player, and is now evolving into a PDA.

And why not an underwater I pod ? The first i pod that you can listen while diving in your swimming pool !

Just to make something clear can we call it a waterproof camera? Underwater cameras cost fairly hefty sums of money. Somewhere on the order of $4000 - $5000 when you include the camera housing.

Um, I hate to disagree, but you can buy pretty good digital cameras with housings for under $1500. I know, I've got a Sony, and we go diving all of time (next week in fact).
If you want to see me diving on a Japanese shipwreck, check

Pictures on the misty, spraying, splashing sea...
Pictures in the rain.
Pictures in high humidity.
Pictures when it's snowing.
"Boldly going where no camera dared go before..."
Maybe it ain't so crazy after all.

Great pics! What do you use?
~12 hours until all is revealed.

Wow!! Very nice shots. I'd be interested in knowing more about your setup as well. Particularly for the night stuff. I've done a little diving off the coast of Southern and Central California, including a little night diving. How deep were the wrecks at Truk, about the 60' range? It seemed like there was enough ambient light. Heh, the only wrecks I've ever dived on was off of Catalina Island (pleasure boats).
Very Cool pix, Thanks for sharing them.
Edit: still can't spell

To say the iPod is evolving into a PDA is a bit of an over statement, kind of like saying my sausage and mash is evolving into soup because I poured gravy on it!
The iPod was designed as an easy to use music player, the fact that you can partially accomplish certain other tasks with it does not mean it is 'evolving' into a device to carry out those tasks, Apple have simply added 'gravy' to make the meal more attractive.
If Apple want a PDA they will design a PDA.
