I wouldn't feel too guilty about turning ads off here, guys. I checked into the click stats a while ago, and we average 1 click per 45 billion ad impressions.
Actually, ads aren't that big of a deal... they're tolerable, or you can install PithHelmet to block them. That's what I've done, and I feel really, really guilty about it.*
Tina has to go though. Everyone in your office will think you're watching fucking porn at your computer.
"Hi, I'm Tina!!!" ... and you cut the sound. Everyone around you is waiting for the "oooh, you're a big boy, aren't you doctor? Why don't you come over here and take my temperature with that meat thermometer!"
I dont mind the banners, I understand a site like this has over head and maybe even dare i say it, profite motive involved, I would just like to say that if ppl block all of the ads to stop the talking ones, then everyone looses, the advertisers that dont talk get less click throughs, apple insider gets less money, and maybe in the long run, AI shuts down due to lack of funds or has to go behind a paid subscription.
If we could just ditch the talking ads, I would gladly look at ads as opposed to paying or haveing AI dissapear.

Just put the ad severs in your hosts file. He won't do Jack about, um, Tina.
If he won't (he didn't) listen to users, then guess what? I'll shut off all my ads.
Then again, I do that to all my most frequented sites. But this one in particular.
If not for that solution I would have left, what, 6 month ago, when Tina first opened her cakehole.
