External Fire Wire HD Problems!!
Don't lecture me on backing stuff up, but I have an external FireWire Hard Drive with important work on that I *have* to get hold of!
Running Disk Utility gives me the following error (the disk is partitioned into two drives):
Repairing disk for ?disk5s9?
Volume check failed.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)
Repairing disk for ?disk5s10?
Volume check failed.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)
Repair attempted on 2 volumes
\t0 HFS volumes repaired
\t2 volumes could not be repaired
Any help and advice gratefully recieved!

Any suggestions?
The solutions proposed every time are DW and TechTool. These two apps seem to be the peoples choice for fixing drives.
Norton is the work of the devil.
