I don't have VPC installed, but does anyone mind doing some benchmarking?

    It doesn't. Virtual PC takes advantage of the pseudo little endian mode that's found on the G3 and G4, but not on the G5. Until Microsoft releases Virtual PC 7, you won't get very far with Virtual PC on a G5!

    Sorry for the ambiguity. The antecedent of my pronoun was not VPC but QEMU. Initial reports suggest Qemu is about half as fast as VPC depending on the app on a G4. There's also a screenshot in that thread.



    It's mention QEMU is highly I/O bound (more so than VPC) which means that on a G5, one could see huge gains over a G4.
