Movie Industry adopts copy standard

Is this one by apple, if so it is a coup



it is called AACS similar to AAC (apple) which is ok for dvd-audio disks

    Please note:



    AAC will be used for the DVD-ROM portion of HD-DVD not the actually format for Movie playback. This will likely be AC3 or DTS. Hopefully they go with a lossless codec like MLP but politics will likely have Dolby getting in over DTS and Meridian.

    Apple is not even in the group working on this "standard" but Intel and MS are. So I wonder how tightly AACS will be integrated with LaGrande (Intel DRM hardware), Longhorn, NGSCB and Juno (MS's DRM implemantations) and the TCPA.
