ooooh, my buddy in FLA just sent me this note:

I think Apple should get down and dirty and lower their price, cut their

margins and steal some market share from the Wintel business. I much

prefer an Apple but PCs are just so much less expensive and not bad.

Believe it or not we might buy a low end DELL in a week or so to replace

our iMAC. I hate to do it but..................

He's being lured by the dark side!

I promise to forward any comments you have!

Tell him good bye. Mac's have unusually competitive price vs. performance stats vs. Dell. If he wants a shite Dell he should get one. Let him be.

BTW, this has no business in Future hardware, Read the posting guidelines. This falls more under general discussion topic.

True, but of course he can only buy a FUTURE iMac as the replacement...

You can still buy G4 iMacs, and then it would go in current hardware if your talking about G4 iMacs but even if it's a G5 iMac your talking about General Discussion is still where this topic should fall.

On the topic though I wouldn't care either way. It's his problem what to buy. I buy what suits me and makes me happy. Everyone else can do what they like. The pain in the ass part of it is I still get asked inane Windows/DOS questions which I now normally shrug off. There is a definite reason I quit using a PC at home (I still have one for games but everything else is strictly Mac).
