fresh name for the rumored headless iMac?

Someone in another thread convinced me: the headless iMac

can't be entitled "iMac", because "iMac" stands for the whole AIO formfactor.

Though, what would likely be a good and fresh name for the headless mac, IF

this baby ever will be born?

simply MAC G5

or

Macintosh G5 (playing with history)

or

Apple Mac G5

or

?

...or maybe not a macintosh at all, if the home user is the target, call it the Apple Granny Smith...

Or, since the whole point of the headless iMac is to be more like a cheap PC, how about the Apple MCC-5429865X48-Q?

This is for the average consumer, so... iToaster. Headless, connects to your TV instead of computer monitors and burns bread instead of CDs.

Well, if Apple comes out with a headless iMac intended as a workstation/network client, like a stripped-down G5, it should be called Xstation.

Perhaps - the name "headless iMac" is confuseing. Perhaps the whole thing is

utterly pointless. Perhaps "iMac G5" is the one and only name.

Perhaps, IF the monitorless iMac will be released AND its formfactor resembles the cube, THAN, perhaps the whole thing will be simply called:

    CUBE 2

    or

    iCUBE

If they use a cube design, a cool name might be...

    iMac³

As a visual key, yes, absolutely. But HOW would you pronounce it?

I don't know how it feels in english, but in german and french it sounds

    TERRIBLE. What a pity.

    "iMac, cubed" or "iMac 3"

Either would be appropriate. Nice double meaning.

    How about:

    iStealLowEndPowerMacSales?

Pffft, the original Cube was very cool, I want one myself as a 'collector's item',

but was a 'niche' or 'designer' computer. As long as Jobs is CEO, I don't see Apple taking a chance on repeating the poor Cube sales debacle...
