'Receipts' in Library Folder

Messing around in my system again. I deleted all the printer drivers for Canon, Epson, and Lexmark since I am a HP man to save some hard drive space.



I looked in all the folders inside the library folder and I noticed a folder called 'receipts' and in it were some 'packages' with Canon, Lexmark, and Epson on them. Can I safely delete these? They dont take up much space but I figured I would dump them if they are not necessary. Thanks

    I think the receipts help you out when you repair permissions. I allows the system to know what you have installed so it can correct them if necessary.



    If they are small I personally would just leave them.

    If they correspond to packages you have removed, you can remove the receipts, too, yes.
