How can I completely remove Internet Explorer from OS X 10.2?

    Search your HD for "explorer." You should find some other stuff you can delete.

    ... but that take up very little room (with one exception) and are harmless.



    Look in your Library, and you'll see a Caches folder. In there you'll see a folder for IE. It'll be 10MB. Toss it.

    You might want to keep IE around in case there are sites that Safari has trouble with.



    On that note, Safari could use some improvements. Like the ability to add certain icons such as AIM, Home, etc that Netscape and other browsers allow you to add. How about an icon for Apples own Mail program?



    As for Netscape I almost got excited about the new version because of its speed but its already causing me problems and their netscape mail function is buggy as all get out. Yahoo's mail program isnt bad so far.



    I just trashed Firefox and Netscape may soon follow.

    I never really have a need to use Explorer, so I'm thinking about deleting it too. I have Firefox and Camino, which usually work when Safari fails. I have trouble on Staples.com with Safari.

    Even though I have Safari as my default browser, a lot of times when I click on a link in Eudora they open in Explorer. How do I fis this?

    Don't see anything there. I am using Eudora 5.2. Time to upgrade or am I just missing something?

    Yes. Preferences -> General, top popup.



    However, that assumes that Eudora looks to those settings for which browser to launch. I'd look in Eudora's prefs as well.
