Translucent Windows

any one know how to get translucent windows in OS X?

    You can get transparent windows but translucent I haven't seen.

    WindowshadeX by Unsanity has the option to, instead of windowshading, making a window translucent when you double click on the title bar. You can even set the opacity.

    To make translucent Terminal windows, set the % transparency in Window Settings... Color, under the Terminal menu.

    What application, other than terminal, support transparent windows. I've often wondered why this isn't configurable at the system level.

    Any window can be transparent or translucent. It's just a matter of developers and users seeing an actual need for transparency, and then implementing it as a feature.

    Which is my point. Let the users decide not the developers.

    In general, that's a really bad idea.
