I still expect a real photo to pop out from somewhere before the Philnote. The last time Apple was able to keep a computer design truly secret was the original iMac.
I really can't comment-- I'm too busy trying to figure out which kitchen appliance I should be shoving in my old Cube box. Sh!tty camera phone is at the ready!
This came up a while ago on Macnn, but people there were of the opinion that these were props hacked together from currently available iMacs. Personally, I don't know. That seems like a lot of trouble.

The odds are in our favor!
The G5 wasn't leaked.
The specs were leaked, sure, but no actual pictures were. There was one shot that was mildly reminiscent of it, but none of the case that was shown at WWDC.
The iPod wasn't leaked either. If I remember a music magazine "Hits" broke the news about the name of the device a few days before the special event but no pics ever surfaced. More recently the Apple Airport Express came out of nowhere. There was nothing "remotely" written about it. As mentioned the original iMac was so secret that only a handful of Apple employees knew about it. Most saw it for the first time at MacWorld, with the rest of us earthlings... (Steve said it looked like it came from outer space or something to that effect.) Yet, the original Bondi Blue model was not a big seller. When the fruity colors came out, well that's when the iMac made its mark.
LOl, thats funny. philbot sure has plenty to laugh at doesnt he. I cant get excited anymore, we know imac will be much less then powermac so whatever clothes they wrap it up in its still going to consists of lame, crippled down componets that are cheap for apple to buy-fx5200 and then apple will charge a fortune for. do the clothes matter? with G5 supply problems and Apples thirst for cheap FX5200's its going to be a flop. my 2 cents

No actual product photos... But I particularly enjoyed the cheese grater photo. Someone photographed a cheese grater leaned up against the front of a G4 tower...

I just wanted to correct that comment about the Bondi not selling well...it had over 100,000 pre-orders. The hype that surrounded that iMac rubbed off on all of the iterations that came after it. It was a hot, hot seller, make no mistake about that.

Yup. And it wasn't presented at a Macworld, it got its own event.

Actually, it's this model:
Try Google Image search on "lcd tv", it's the fourth result
They just applied a Gaussian Blur to that shot and....instant 'leaked photo'!

This was prior to even the specs leaking. Genius!
(Just wish I could remember who it was.)

Obviously he tries to hide the new iMac G5 beneath his wash basin.
(Maybe I should have published the mockups on mackompass.de this way

I know some of you like that design, but if I saw that in a bathroom, I'd piss on it.
And hopefully, you'd get electrocuted too.
