There are two different elevators in the Paris Keynote stage.(vide MacBidouille )

These were used by Jobs to introduce new products during the keynote.

My bet :

iMac G5 and

Powerbook G5

    I don't think we'll see a PB G5 tomorrow.

It doesn't necessarily mean they are for two totally different products. My bet is one is for the 15 inch iMac and the other for the 17 inch. And G5 chips are in too short of a supply now to release both new G5 iMacs and PB G5s.

    1: New iMac G5?

For sure! Totally new form factor. People will go nuts about its "beauty" and drool over it for a week or so then the whinging will start..."its too slow, can't upgrade it, not enough RAM" etc, etc...

    2: Something different and new?

Maybe, And someone here will say "Damn! I already thought this thing up! That was my idea!!"

Yeah, probably just for the two screen sizes of iMacs.

Either both versions of the G5 iMac (17'" & 20" displays) or one other product. My hopes are on a new iBook with a wide screen for the 12".

Won't need an elevator for the iSight - just keep in a hip pocket until it's time to pull it out.

    Slapping my head...

    Yea that's it...

    Revised:

    1 - 17" iMac

    2 - 20" iMac

Oh well - so much for the last great hope on the 'headless iMac'.

    Hear me out here:

Powerbooks stay the same, but there's still a Powerbook G5 introduced.

Powerbook G4s remain for those who want portability, and the G5 is introduced as a desktop replacement/luggable akin to the current P4 desktop replacements. The case is thicker, including a 970fx and the huge 9800 mobility chip.

That way, those that need it can have it, and those that need something smaller, thinner, and lighter can still have their's. Apple has the best of both worlds and can at least try to please everyone some of the time.

... and it's currently wasting my bandwidth. I'll find some suitable replacement for it when I get home.
