Any PHPBB experts in the house?

I am setting up a phpBB for my family (I abandoned the idea of using blogware, too much hassle) and I need to tap into the genius of the many phpBB users out there.



However, the official forum is so thick with posts it is impenetrable.



I need a calendar mod that allows recurring events and e-mail reminders. (An up-front display would be nice, too).

    I was kind of hoping for a PHP/database centric question here, because then I'd be able to help you. But I'll bump the thread to the top for good measure.

    What exactly do you need help with? Installation, setup?



    Is this "Topic calendar" Mod what your looking for?

    I would mind help with picking the mod, installing it and setting it up, actually. I can probably manage the installing and setup on my own, I just wanted to know what people have had success with thus far.



    Topic Calendar looks nice, that might work.
