Yeah, that's good. Judging a Cinema Display by one that's sitting in a CompUSA.
Ever hooked one up to a PowerMac and calibrated it properly?
I have and it looks amazing.
Wake up.
I suggest you RTFPs (Apple Discussions). Everything I hear (and yes, these people have attempted calibration after calibration) points to a defect in the batch however large.
"It doesn't effect me, everyone else must be stupid!"
Oh wait, that would putting words into your mouth.
I think this is kind of funny. Apple is over charging for their displays by so much.... its not even funny. If this gets any bigger I forsee a lot of recalls.
I have one and it has the color problems, even having been in for repair at Apple once. I'm talking with them about outright replacement right now.
The person on the phone said there are still some problems they (Engineering) are trying to get a handle on. It sounds like they may not have enough returned monitors to clearly see what the problem is.
If anyone here has one, and is unhappy with it, call AppleCare to see about replacement. We need to let them know there's a fairly significant number of users with problems on this product.
I hope they resolve the problems... it's a gorgeous monitor!
I have two of these, I friggen love them. By far the best monitors I have ever owned. Colors are perfect and the response time is fast. Apple should be ashamed trying to pawn off this crap.

The Dell 2001FPs are awsome. I have owned several LCDs before but these sport high resolution, excellent eye apeal (though not as good as apple's), 90 deg rotation, usb, numerous inputs and (surprise surprise) works flawlessly between several computers.
Sweetness, and cheapness. I'll be a repeat LCD customer for Dell.

when they first came out - the 20" was fine, but I
also noticed that when you looked at either side of the
23" monitor, the other side would dim.
I didn't like the old 23" - it looked kind of dull and
washed out compared to the old 20", but the new 23" is
way worse than the old 23".
Also, I got eye fatigue very quickly with the 23". I
will keep my 20" CRT for some time, I think.

Dude, I got a Dell. 2 of them actually. And they are spanking cool.
I went with the 2001fp because it was much, much, much cheaper than the 20" Apple monitor, even with an ADC discount.

Me too.
Love my 23". Best purchase I've ever made.
So nice having so much space to work.

Perhaps mine was just part of an early bad batch... at least I hope that's the case.

Why would I care to? And why are you so bitter?
I don't even know you, so help us all out by sticking to the topic at hand. OK?

Wow... beautiful monitor.... I never thought I'd live to see the day a monitor would be more expensive then the Apple one.
