my new G5 won't shut down!

I got my new dual 2 g5 a few days ago, and since then I have noticed a few times that it won't whut down. I go to the Apple menu. select shut down... and wait for the normal shut down window to appear... but it doesn't.



I have also noticed that I occassionally get the SBOD when I open Mail... and it just doesn't stop.



Any ideas?

    I never get any problems with my PB, iWanna swap with iDunno.

    No problems? Yeah right, good on ya.



    I have noticed tho that it seems whenever I ret getting new mail it gives me the SBOD... for ages.

    Hi!



    Have you tried the power button? Work's? If your answer is wrong use your warranty... if it work's, software problem, try to fix priv... with the instal cd...

    It sdeems to be mail is causing a problem. When I open it, it goes into a 10 minute "think" with the SBOD. After that I am able to shut down the normal way.

    What do have plugged in as far as periphials?



    Try disconnecting everything but the mouse and keyboard, then shutdown. If it shuts down it's one of your devices.
