Nvidia 6800 DVD playback crashes

I finally got my 6800 installed and running in my 2x2.0GHz G5 (2003 model). Quite a mission. But my personal debacle with the 6800 has not ended:



Everything seems fine except when playing DVD's. The computer crashes after about 30 minutes of continous playback. I was wondering if any other 6800 owners have experienced this.



Oh, I'm running 10.3.5 and have 3gigs of RAM. Thanks for any help.

    I will give it a go when I get home this afternoon.



    Have not tried DVD playback on the thing yet.

    thanks guys... it seems to happen after about 30 minutes - 1 hour of playback...

    Mine is fine. I wasn't running full screen, and I have two monitors hooked up.

    I ordered my 6800 from CDW in july but they keep pushing it back. Last I heard it would be in on the 29th of October but no word as of yet. Are they shipping in mass now?

    My 30" and 6800 were scheduled OOB 10/29. My 30" shipped 10/27 WITHOUT THE 6800! I can't help but wonder if there are new 6800 problems. I don't have to pay for the display until the 6800 comes but I am anxious to get it on my new G5 that I have had for two weeks.

    I had Apple separate my G5 2.5 and 6800 order into two separate shipments, in hopes to get the G5 faster, I ended up getting and OOB date of 10/29 for the 6800 and an OOB date of 11/12 for the G5. Both were shipped on Thursday 10/28.

    I have had my 6800 for about two weeks now, and I watched a dvd the other night on it, in full screen mode... no probs.
