Halloween Mail Bug!

Between the hours of 11PM (some say 11:30) and Midnight Mail goes crazy in its processor use; hogging 100% until you quit the program.
Once midnight hits, the bug goes away and Mail goes back to normal.
Oooo, spooky!

Mail is probably indexing all of your email so when you search it'll be 'blazingly fast'. OS 9 used to do late night indexing as well.
