Hi all,
I want to buy some more memory (1GB) to my powerbook g4. Can you advice me where? I saw on apple site, and they have incredible expesive ones. Then I looked to the other sites, but memories are still some kind of expensive comparing to pc laptops... ]-; Are memories for mac different from pc memories?

Here are a couple of sites that let you look up what RAM you need and sell it. I'm not sure what companies are the most reputable though. Some RAM is better quality than others. Maybe someone else can fill in with their experience on that matter.

Thanks for reply. I know that laptops needs other memory modules than desktops. I though something like if there is some need to have special chips. Like - I don't understand this terminology a lot - like chips differences - 4x64k vs 8x64k or how do they sign it. I thought some technical aspects more then difference between DDR SDRAM and EDO or laptop vs. desktop sizes.
