Then I looked to the other sites, but memories are still some kind of expensive comparing to pc laptops... ]-; Are memories for mac different from pc memories?

Apple uses standard RAM chips for its computers, but laptops (Mac and PC) generally use specific kinds of memory cards in order to fit their small enclosures -- they're usually thinner than standard RAM components. Most online RAM retailers let you look up what RAM module you need by manufacturer and model. You can confirm what kind of RAM your PowerBook uses by going to the Apple menu, selecting "About this Mac..." and clicking the "More Info" button. This will launch the System Profiler Application which can give you info on your computer hardware to make sure you pick the right kind of RAM.

Here are a couple of sites that let you look up what RAM you need and sell it. I'm not sure what companies are the most reputable though. Some RAM is better quality than others. Maybe someone else can fill in with their experience on that matter.

Thanks for reply. I know that laptops needs other memory modules than desktops. I though something like if there is some need to have special chips. Like - I don't understand this terminology a lot - like chips differences - 4x64k vs 8x64k or how do they sign it. I thought some technical aspects more then difference between DDR SDRAM and EDO or laptop vs. desktop sizes.

If it's current model PB with DDR PC2700... then there have been good reviews on Kingmax ram over at Newegg.

I have been using the RAM from crucial for about 9 months and it seems to be working fine over here. If your powerbook was like mine, you will also need a glasses repair kit in order to open the sopt for more ram. The screws are very tight and small.
