Anyone have a 74GB Western Digital Raptor? I'm curious as to how loud it is since it's a 10K rpm hard drive. Thanks.

10K hard drives are VERY loud. Wester Digital's aren't any louder than the rest. Why do you need a10K? They wear out really fast, and unless you are doing uncompressed or HD video capturing, they are kinda pointless and expensive.

    Wrong.

I have one of those installed in my system and it's not any louder than the 80 GB,7200 rpm WD that I had installed there before. Most of the time I can't even hear it.As far as wearing out they have a 5 year warranty. The speed gains are very significant also, really can't complain.
