Pity you would run into the iTunes/iPod photo limit otherwise you could have a nice long movie... providing your finger lasted that long !

    Don't know if you can do it on the iPod Photo, but in iDVD's slideshow options you can have it adjust the length of the show to the length of the piece of music, imagine that on an ipod Photo... No circling needed!

    Circling is needed mainly because the minimum duration of slideshow frames is 2 secs.



    It sounds simple, but if Apple or a hacker just patched that 2 secs to about 1/25 or 1/30, there's instant video playback!

    Preferable some XML-based slideshow config could be used to control what photos are shown, when, for how long, and to what music. This feature could then be abused to make photo movies.



    That said, as-is the iPod photo could be used for a new form of video: the movie comic. Each frame could be the standard 2 seconds and coincide with the audio track. You miss out on action in the frame, but it is still possible to tell a compelling story.
