Laptop or not

I have read that my iBook 12" 1Ghz should always have air circulating to stop it over heating, so does this mean I can't use it on my lap as there will be no air flow under it

    Seriously, though... keeping your legs apart allows some air to circulate. Plus, it's better for your posture, in my experience.

    Certainly, but this would be much more easy to do with a 17" Powerbook. I am not sure that you can efficiently help the 12" model stay cool that way.

    I wouldn't use it on your lap if you ever want to have children anyway.
