Seriously, I've never been impressed with that package - it's cumbersome, the UI is horrible, and it imposes severe restrictions on your workflow. I had to use it a while back, and hated every second of it.
Rational XDE integrates into Eclipse. It is usable, though I think you need a 30" screen and 2000pixels + resolution to do something worthwhile.
I have high hopes on xCode2.0 with the modelling tools. If they do it right, you should be able to import Rose models into Tiger's XCode and build applications.
