X11 antialiasing
I tried recently Gimp under X11 in Panther, only to find out that there is no an evident way to enable antialiased fonts (I am running windowmaker). Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the window manager or Apple's X11 implementation? Is there some way have again smooth antialiased fonts in X11? Another window manager perhaps?
Thanks,
PB

1) Try with a different window manager, e.g. Apple's quartz-wm. Probably won't make a difference though.
2) Google for "Pango Mac OS anti-aliasing" or something.

Yep.

If I am not mistaken Pango is for handling unicode. And it looks like I have to install Gnome 2.0. Thanks for the input though.
Any other ideas before I take the plunge?
How are you installing Gimp e.g fink or darwinpackages etc.?
