Adobe Reader 7...

...is out now.



It actually loads faster. Finally.



I just noticed it has a browser plugin. Gonna go play with it.



Any comments? Is it a "Preview killer"?

    Browser plugin is nice. On par with the Windows version from an initial look. Only for Safari though.

    the (free) browser plugin from schubert-it is pretty good too. and it works with mozilla based browsers.

    Yeah, I use that one too. Having an Adobe plugin available is nice though. Also, as an FYI, if you have both installed, it'll just use Adobe's in Safari, and Schubert's in Firefox.

    Adobe Reader is dedicated to PDF files. How can it "kill" Preview, which displays files in numerous graphics formats, including PDF?

    Nope. Adobe reader is called ADOBE READER. because it opens various Adobe graphic formats.



    Anyway, my "killer" reference above was ment to be directed at their PDF rendering capabilities. Sorry.



    I still prefer Preview.

    It still can't display pdfs built from an fdf thats retained on the server. Damn!
