-Purdue over Arizona State (especially with ASU's quarterback gone)

-For Miami vs. Florida, it's whoever shows up to play.

    -Texas over Michigan

    -Auburn smokes VaTech

-Cal got screwed big time--they'll win for sure

-Utah over Pitt (why is Pitt in such a high bowl anyways!?!?!)

    -Georgia over Wisconsin

-As much as I hate it, OU over USC.

I was wrong on my very first pick.

Damn you, North Texas, represent your state!

Your second pick will be wrong too. Syracuse sucks.

Let's cut to the chase, a brother gotta use his heart not his brain. Greg Davis is Jim Herrmann's bitch. Blue over Orange.

i guess cal was overrated after tech put up 45 on their asses. perhaps those that voted texas ahead of cal have been vindicated in doing so.

Cal's performance today was mediocre at best. Didn't play up to our rank that's for sure. Granted, our receiving corps is decimated with injuries, but that's only part of it. The Cal defense never got a handle on Texas Tech's routes.

I'm over getting snubbed for the Rose Bowl, but if we played there I'm sure it could have been worse.

Either way I have to congratulate Texas Tech as they played a good game today on all sides of the ball.

i honestly thought you guys would smoke them, and early on in the game it appeared you would with the way you were able to run the ball. unfortunately for you, tech can get on a roll and score a lot of points quick. leach is a slick one, you never know what he's going to throw at ya. this is especially true if you don't see that type of offense very often.

Not at all. The same thing happened to the Longhorns in the Holiday Bowl not too long ago. They felt they got snubbed by the BCS, and they ended up losing in the bowl game they did go too. There's no telling how Cal would have done in the Rose Bowl, unless you're an oracle.

true, but perhaps texas was overrated that year as well. imagine that, texas being overrated. i will, however, give you that a lot of it does come down to how two teams match up against one another. tonight, cal couldn't match up to tech.

UT didn't get "snubbed" by the BCS last year, the system didn't allow for 3 teams from the same conference. Were it not for that rule we had the votes. Much much different than "all these mean 'ole voters were big meanie heads! *sniffles*!"

And there is a large difference between losing a game determined in the 4th quarter to the #9 team in the nation and getting your ass kicked by #21.

I wouldn't call it the "same thing", I would call it "vaguely similar".

As far as how Cal would do in the Rose Bowl, they might do better. I don't think Michigan has much of a passing game past Edwards so maybe Cal would do well. But here's the thing about football, you beat the teams you play not the ones you think match up well.

That weeping vagina on Jacob Rodgers' face will serve him well in the CFL:

    Quote:

When the damage was finally done, when the nationally-televised "I told you so" had been shoved down his team's throat, Jeff Tedford sat in a jam-packed interview room and answered the question everyone was thinking, but Tedford couldn't believe was actually asked.

Did the BCS actually get this one right?

Did Texas -- not Cal -- deserve the BCS spot in the Rose Bowl?

Before the reporter even finished, running back J.J. Arrington shook his head in disgust. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers mumbled something about the query being "stupid." And Tedford answered, as only he knew how.

"What do you want me to say?" the California coach said. "They're right? They got it right. Then they're right. There. I don't know what you want me to say."

I WANT TO SEE THE VOTES!

    Ok.

There is no reason for Cal to have more than 1 or 2 losses every year, their conference is weak and their out-of-conference schedule is criminal. They lose Arrington and Sniffles, but check out this schedule:

    09-03-05 Sacramento State (Division I-AA)*

    09-10-05 at Washington

    09-17-05 Illinois

    09-24-05 at New Mexico State

    10-01-05 Arizona

    10-08-05 at UCLA

    10-15-05 Oregon State

    10-22-05 Washington State

    11-05-05 at Oregon

    11-12-05 Southern California

    11-19-05 at Stanford

    * - Not just a Division I-AA team, but an 8-loss Division I-AA team.

Yeah, I'll keep laughing my ass off.

Man, that was a great game-worthy of a first meeting between football blue bloods like Texas and Michigan.

Dare I say Vince Young was Bret Meyer-like?

    If his passing keeps improving-yikes!

so, we may have at the end of the year, what, three undefeated teams, and the #4 seed got beat by texas tech in a minor bowl?

can we now burn the bcs in effigy? please? i almost miss the good ol' days of having fisticuffs between rivals break out based on national champions determined by committee. the current system makes that seem logical by comparison.

p.s. i hate lsu (tulane repreSENT!), and i can almost hear the weeping and wailing across the state as i type.

    Invasion of the body snatchers.

I cannot believe this is the same team that whips my Horns every year.

    Someone kidnapped the real Sooners.

USC is practically an NFL team.

There really was no contest tonight. USC dominated and showed they were probably underrated by many.
