Question re: Mac Mini

This might seem really stupid, but does the Mac Mini come with a display or is the user forced to shell out for the Apple cinema displays, hence cutting kind of low price tag?

    Does not come with a display but you can use cheap PC monitors if you want.

    And its main purpose is to not have a display so that you can use yours. If you need a display, you can buy any one you like or go for an iMac/eMac.

    No, it doesn't. But virtually every display you can buy will work with it, right out of the box. The only display you'll need an extra adapter to run, ironically, is the last generation of Cinema displays with an ADC connection.
