    Yeah dude! Me too!

I'm not so sure about the price, but a 20" screen seems very possible!

    Looking forward to it man! <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />

a 20" lcd on top of a imac looks great imo. they have to make the border a little thinner and it will be great to me.

$2099,- is not too much for a consumer mac. i remember the 6500/300 AV with a silly 15"AV screen for approximately $2900,- (ex 17.5% vat, in the netherlands) back in 1997. now that was really expensive.

$2099,- is just $100,- more than the current 17" imac. it wouldn't be the bestselling imac, but there will be a market for it (like murbot or me or ... ... murbot)

    ah well, we'll see</strong><hr></blockquote>

I don't know, I guess it's a matter of personal opinion about how it would look. And yeah $2900 is a lot for a consumer computer, but this is 2003 and not 1997... $2099 is still a lot.

not all of us are 16 years old ....g

oh wait, probably 16 is the mean age of posters here...

    so i guess 2100 is a lot...for me, at 41, i spend that much on <a href="http://www.metamucil.com/sample/index.shtml"; target="_blank">metamucil</a> and <a href="http://www.depend.com/index.asp"; target="_blank">depends</a> each year....

im not sure what you imply by the age.... if anything teens have the money to buy a 2100 iMac and a parent with a family wouldnt.

2100 is a ridiculous price point for an iMac which will never have enough power behind it to justify that pricepoint.

the iMac wont be getting a 19 or 20 inch display. i believe rumors for the 20 inch display turned into the new cinema display

17 inch is a nice balance of size and appearance for the iMac.

Whoa, times have changed if a high schooler working part time has that kind of dough.

Why, when I was your age....

im not saying that..... im saying a geeky kid who has saved up money (cough...Mr. Macintosh..cough.....everyone at MacAddict's forums....cough) would likely use it to buy that.

Me? I bought a PowerMac in 99 with money i had saved from confirmation and graduation and birthdays..... since then I have saved a lot but have been spending it on plane tickets and my girlfriend and saving up for a car.

im just saying that the statement that 2100 isnt a lot based on age is off base

true, i guess...but one recommendation to geeky kids....

buy a car first....a car will help get you laid...a comuter never will....maybe in college, but again unlikely...a car is the way to go...after a car, then a computer, but only after you are getting a little action.....g

Can't believe I actually just went to MOSR....But they are saying 6-8 weeks for the new iMacs....Here's hoping they are completely wrong....as usual....

Since there are very few iMacs in the channel, what will Apple sell in the next 6-8 weeks if they are going to wait that long with new iMacs.

Those and iPods need to be updated soon. How long can you keep going without having some of your most popular items available. I understand drying up the channel but they seem to be really pushing it.

Thansk, you made me feel young for a minute, but now I'm not looking forward to getting to your age.
