Well, believe it or not some bands only want to sell full albums because not only does a lot go into making an album but for the artist an entire album could be their emotions at that state in their life....selling one song here and one song there fractures up their emotions and the integrity of the album. It is not just because "they're in on it." Like a novel, you cannot split it up and just sell each chapter....much like an album to some bands.

Excellent point. Let me make some modifications to further enhance the meaning of your message and bring clarity.

That's true except that radiohead does not usually release singles. And when they do, it doesn't mean that they think that the album concept isn't worthwhile. Again, it's their prerogative. And just because they have the clout to do it doesn't mean they shouldn't.

Who knows exactly why radiohead doesn't want their music on iTMS. For all we know, they could be unhappy with the encoding of the iTMS. 128 aac is good but not great. If you've ever listened to a radiohead song with good headphones you'd realize there's a lot more there than what's apparent without them.

Except that any given excerpt from a novel isn't intended to—and doesn't—stand on its own. Songs do. If they release individual songs to radio or video, they acknowledge that. But if they do that, they should offer the individual songs for purchase. Otherwise, they're doing the old bait-and-switch just because everyone else does.

To say that is to say that quotes from a novel means that the author should serialize it. It just doesn't make sense. I fully respect an artist's right to choose the canvas on which he/she paints.

dude, when Radiohead releases a single, they actually sell the single at CD stores...you can BUY them!! you don't have to pick up their entire CD...

they even run their own online store! i don't know what you're complaining about.

they just don't sell ANYTHING on iTunes. (currently)

Radiohead is really the WRONG band to accuse of all this, try Metallica...

(and really, what bands have used Macs like Radiohead has? they should be revered by AppleInsider!)

that totally sounds like a B.S. statement...
