Very attractive, 12" widescreen for ?1099. 1.8 kilo's.

But...Integrated video chip, I *guess*.

Apple needs to hurry up and move on with the Powerbook.

I think the Apple Powerbook 12" should cost around $1250, not $1600. Overpriced.

    Not even slot-loading.

1280 is a bragging point but on a 12" screen it's more torture than feature anyway.

Like most PC laptops, it is lacking any type of style or subtlty. Where do PC manufacturers get their plastic from.

The Sony S series beats the 12" PowerBook in every category.

Are we saying otherwise? I missed that. I think we left the option open for a few PC laptops to be as good or better than Powerbooks, just not the one above.

Or is that merely a standalone statement?

MSI makes the best mainboard but their laptops are really poor. And I think there's no comparison between CISC and RISC computers.

I had the option to buy any laptop I wanted last week. Sony, IBM, etc... I picked the 12inch powerbook w/superdrive. Why? It is still the best built notebook out there. I have a IBM T42 at work and it is permanently in my office logged on to the network so I can access it via remote desktop for the rare occasion I need a PC otherwise it just sits there becoming obsolete by the hour.
