MS Frontpage like software for Mac?

Does anyone know of software for the MAC that is similar to MS Frontpage (the easy web design software for windows)? Better still would be one that would read MS Frontpage files.

    Try Macromedia Dreamweaver. I think the app is around 70 bucks, but you can download the free trial at Macromedia.com



    Its what I used to use, now when I write html I just do it in the simple text edit program.



    You could also try Adobe goLive if you don't like dreamweaver. I think you can download that free version at adobe.com also.

    Uh, Dreamweaver is not 70 bucks. It's closer to $400.

    I was way off. I used to have it for PC and I used to upgrade and get it cheap from a local store so I thought it was less

    Closest thing to WYSIWYG for Mac Web Development is FREEWAY EXPRESS.

    They have a free trial you can download to try out. Be best to download it and see if it meets your needs.

    Completely free and offering a lot of functionality is: NVU based on the mozilla composer. I haven't used it extensively yet, but have played with it a little bit and it looks very promising!

    I'm normally the first one to suggest DreamWeaver, but since we're listing "budget" alternatives...



    I'm a bit surprised nobody's suggested Pages from the new iWork suite...



    Apple product at awesome price, basic DTP functionality, imports tons, exports PDF, HTML...







    But, if you're really trying to match Frontpage, most other products would have to add bugs and write really sloppy, proprietary code to 'compete'.

    You can download Netscape's browser, which has a Web editor ("composer") module.
