Buying in America (iMac G5)

Hi there,

I tried a search before, so don´t flame me :3

I´m about to buy an iMac G5 from Macmall.com (maxing out RAM, +Airport),

but I wonder if a American iMac will do with the Power outlets and voltage we use here in Europe (Austria, to be exact). I once heard that starting with the iMac G5, you can´t switch the voltage anymore... am I right on this?

Oh, and "one more thing (tm)":

Does anyone know how much to expect for shipping this Mac to Europe?

Any first hand experiences?

The iMac 5's made for the US and Japan are 110 Volts only. All other countries get a 110/220 dual-voltage power supply.

Yes there are. But they can be hard to come by. I had to have mine customized by and electrics specialist. (for my japanese camecube, which I never use since its NTSC)...

Any converter that can handle the power requirements is likely to be more expensive than any money you hope to save by purchasing in the US.
