If so we are forced to pay more for something we don't need for the already overpriced Power Macs

whats ur definition of overpriced? is anyone forcing u to pay for anything? could this not be implemented and given free as a feature while keeping the keyboard at $60?
I'm not so hot on the scroll button mainly since it can only scroll up or down and they always have terrible resolution.

My optical Logitech 2-button mouse has excellent resolution. Though it's almost the cheapest optical mouse out there, I prefer it to the Apple pro one. It has softer buttons, it's significantly lighter, it works great on OS X without any 3rd party drivers, it's very convenient to hold, etc.
By the way, to scroll left to right press the Option key. Works almost everywhere.
It's a sound idea to remove letters 'pro' from current keyboards and offer a new pro backlit variant as an option. You will see that in a month nobody will buy old keyboards (I have to admit they are still great).
