sorry for my stupidity.how can i arrange folders icons on the desktop in order to move free them on the desktop?

a) Click the desktop, press Cmd-J, uncheck 'Snap to grid'.
b) Move icons around while holding down a Cmd key. This inverts the setting mentioned above.
