I just got two eff'in pop ups while I was viewing this site!!!
I had a tab open to another site but had not visited it so I think AI's site is the culprit.
For several months now, there have been sporadic problems with banner ads on this site. For me, they have been most problematic with Gecko-based browsers, particularly Camino. They are so bad at times that I have to switch to another browser to access this forum.
Don't want to get into another arguement about advertising on the site...but.. Kasper, ya have to do something!
Perhaps the powers that be in here need to stop all pop ups NOW, in its place, they could left align the forums and left align some google ads in the right margin.
Do that and we can give you clicks and thus money, please, no more pop ups, PLEASE.
And by the way, how did you get arround the pop up blocker in Firefox and all ad-block plugins? This hole needs patching.
well. right after I installed 10.3.8 the pop up appeared in safari.
That's definitely the upgrade's fault.
I hope Apple will fix it in the next revision.
No, it is not the fault of the upgrade. This has been a slowly building problem that is slightly greater now than before the 10.3.8 upgrade. It is just that you saw it for the first time after you upgraded.
I've started a thread in Suggestions on the subject of pop-ups and the pencil-weenied lamotrons who peddle them.
If you have an opinion on pop-ups and the pencil-peckered pissants who pass those putrid bastards off on the public, press on to Suggestions and make your feelings now. Politely.

Also... what are these "pop-ups" you speak of?
I think I've heard of those.
Must be something that other web users put up with?

I tried PithHelmet, but could not get it to let me into my college's website...
Maybe I just didn't play with the settings enough, but it's not very 'Apple' if you have to spend allot of time doing stuff like that...
That's definitely the upgrade's fault.
I hope Apple will fix it in the next revision.
