Does this have to do solely with Pixar?<a href="http://news.com.com/2100-1001-983898.html"; target="_blank">Pixar switches from Sun to Intel</a>

[quote] Pixar's conversion to Intel comes after several weeks of high-visibility diplomacy between Jobs and Intel's president, Paul Otellini. The two men are, in fact, understood to be old friends. <hr></blockquote>

[quote]At Macworld in San Francisco in January, Otellini sat in the front row during Jobs' keynote address. He was then given a personal tour of the show itself. Later the same month, Jobs also gave the keynote address at Intel's annual sales conference.<hr></blockquote>

It's interesting Otellini attended Macworld and not something related to Pixar. This may or may not signal future Macs on Intel in conjunction with PowerPC.

It's not so far out there. We can use IBM as an example of a hardware/software company that uses multiple CPU's for different purposes.
