Apple actually updates 3G iPod software!

it appears that software for old 3G iPods was updated today to show 'shuffle songs' in the main menu as well as the 'music' folder'.

    This is good! I'm glad to see Apple hasn't forgotten about us, iPod 1G, 2G and 3G owners.

    I have a 2G iPod that got an update today ... and there are new features such as being able to define the contents of the root menu!



    A really welcome addition!

    Now all I'm left wanting is the nifty playlists on the go feature on my 2G iPod (I guess that's what you'd call a 10GB with scroll wheel).
