Bonus points for trying, and giving it a shot, and getting it to work. Negative points for how sh1t it looks...

What exactly is the point. Most docks ad something of value besdies weight or ugliness. I don't see extra ports and such for more usability, am I missing the point here?

I guess it's for portability, so that you can take your Mac mini around and just plug it into the dock(s). The problem is that every connector still has to go into every outlet, which is what docks are supposed to eliminate.

    Pah... been done.

Mac Mini in a 69 NovaSS and a 98 Cherokee with installation photos and videos to come

The Nova is apparently a musician's car and he has USB inputs in dash so he can compose in the car.

Not everyone can afford an entire fabrication facility.

If he puts this in his dash board without paying the grand or so needed by that car place, it wont matter what the back looks like.

He could have a spring-loaded door on the front of the dash panel so when the mini is not there, the door would swing down and protect/hide the plugs.

What other way besides clay could you do this??

    I agree with tomj:

It's cool.. I'd remind everyone to look at the inside of firewire enclosures and other such things--not enough room to be pretty.

    that's all I's sayin.

I see a dock with an ambitious creator. At least he did it himself. So what if its ugly.I'm sure apples prototypes aren't amazing visually when they're made.
